Those of you who love a griddle know it's often the secret to a perfectly cooked breakfast. We're talking about the kind of breakfast where everything is served hot and buttery. When dinner rolls around, just flip the plates and you have an indoor grill. If you're cooking salmon for half the family and steak for the other half, you can cook both at different temperatures thanks to the dual cooking controls.

We can't really call this a griddle—it does everything. This Cuisinart device does, of course, have excellent griddle plates that will cook your french toast at an even temperature. Just flip the plates over and suddenly you have a grill. Use it open-face or close it up and now you have a panini machine. The sturdy handle will allow you to press your sandwich to perfection. The simple knobs allow you to control the temperature easily, and little red and green lights will let you know when the machine is heated. The plates are also removable and dishwasher safe.

If you're interested in getting a griddle but don't want one that will take up so much counter space, this is a great option. Measuring 2.9 x 14.4 x 11.1 inches, this is perfect for making some bacon and a couple eggs. Don't let the size fool you—this is a little powerhouse. It will automatically maintain temperatures up to 400 degrees. The nonstick surface means cleaning just takes a quick wipe. If your bacon grease gets out of hand, the grease trap will help you out.
